About F.T. (Tim) Martens

Tim is a self-taught artist with a background in architectural drafting, technical drawings, and illustrating.  Interests in nature, aviation and architecture stoke his desire to create artworks, primarily in realism style.  Tim uses mainly acrylics and oils as his media.  He also enjoys drawing, photography and experimenting with other media and techniques. 

 

Tim began artwork as a hobby in the early 1990's.  After a lengthy break to pursue other interests, he resumed painting and drawing in earnest in 2015.  He currently works from his studio at his home in Okotoks and participates with local art groups as well as attending workshops to hone his craft.
